Meet the team
Jay enjoys racing and sportives and has represented the team in a few crits this season. He is hoping to progress onto road races in the future.
Adam competes in a number of disciplines but his love is for TT and Hill Climbing. His focus in 2017 is on the TT National Champs later in the year and gaining experience in road races to support his TT ambitions.
Bevan has been racing since 2015 and mostly enjoys crits and time trials with some excellent results coming in 2017, he also enjoys MTB when he finds the time for it!
Ben has been racing since 2016 and enjoys his cycling very much, he is eager to get as many opportunities as possible to represent the team and become a stronger, more successful rider.
Joe competes in as many races as he can for Manilla but recently, racing has taken a backseat due to exams. He started racing in 2016 and quickly got his Cat3 licence after only a handful of races.
Josh started cycling in late 2016 and only started racing in March 2017, he quickly got the bug and has achieved his Cat3 licence in 3 months with a 2nd place finish at Prissick
Josh has been racing since January 2016, his main aims for the rest of the 2017 race season are the national 10 & 25m TT along with a number of road race

Head Coach & Senior
Adam’s primary focus since becoming Team Principal in 2016 has been to rebuild Manilla Cycling.
In 2017 he aim’s to work hard to support the younger riders in the regional road races and hopefully achieve some podiums in Crits and regain his Cat 2 status along the way.
Brian has set his goal of obtaining his Cat3 licence during the 2017 season.
Craig started racing in 2015 and achieved his initial goals of winning a race and obtaining his Cat2 licence in 2016 performing well in the races he entered.
He has been working hard on his seated power beating his PB at every TT he has entered, 2017 has continued in the same vein!
Dave has only competed in a few races in 2016 and none so far in 2017 but aims to get back on the track soon.
His main objectives this year have been around climbing & endurance and he loves nothing more than a long & tough, yet rewarding, day in the saddle.

Geoff enjoys racing at all levels and representing the team in road races, time trials & sportives throughout the season.
Ian races for the team in numerous crits & road races and also competes in various TT’
He is also trains for, and competes in, various triathlons & duathlons throughout the season.
Marc took up competitive cycling in 2016 and started racing early in 2017 with some very strong results straight away, he achieved his Cat3 licence with a superb race win at Prissick.
He enjoys racing crits but will be looking to compete in some road races through the season with his aim being collecting points and gaining his Cat2.
Marc had some excellent results early in the season before an unfortunate injury hampered his progress. He has returned to the bike since and is more determined than ever to regain the early form shown and progress further with his goal of obtaining his Cat2 licence.
Michael comes to Manilla from a triathlon background and is starting his cycling racing career focussing initially on local crit racing to find his feet.
He is also a keen vlogger and documents his cycling journey in his highly entertaining vlog “From Cr@p to Crit” which can be found on YouTube. He also produces videos and vlogs for our team so check them out on our YouTube channel or via the links from this site.
Paul has only recently discovered his love for racing having challenged himself with a charity C2C ride, he reluctantly joined Manilla after immense pressure from his brother Marc and has never looked back! He took part in his 1st Cat4 race in May and gave a very strong showing of the potential to come.
Paul is in his first season of racing and has already achieved his Cat3 licence with some strong performances from the front in a number of crits..
Rob is focused on closed circuit crits and road racing, providing leadout & breakaway options and generally racing for others.
Russ is in his 3rd season racing for Manilla representing the team in road races & crits.
Scott competes in road and crit racing with his best results coming at Prissick this season with a superb race win and also a 3rd in the Cat 3/4 races, another pleasing result of note was 6th in round 4 of the North Yorkshire Evening Road Race league at the Kirby Misperton circuit in absolutely horrific conditions.
Quite simply put, Ste just loves riding his bike, be it a race, social coffee ride or on his trainer. His favourite place to be out & about is around North Yorkshire.
Having spent a lot of years at long distance MTB, Ste turned to the road in 2016, he aims to gain his Cat2 licence very soon having missed out last year.
His best result came from a 3rd place in a team of 2 at a 24hr mountain mayhem MTB event in 2015 and a 3rd place overall in the North of England MTB championships in 2014.
